Gina and Danny

Last October, I had the honor of working with Gina and Danny, who held their wedding at The Bridges Golf Club in San Ramon. This blush and wine colored wedding was a beauty. We focused on creating our signature look in this color scheme - lush and organic florals that were beautiful but look effortless. Effortless beauty is what we always strive for... much like this bride! Take a look at that dress! And the lace! And that train! Absolutely to die for!

Our wooden arch has become really popular, and is a great way to frame an outdoor ceremony. It really helps to draw the attention and focus to the couple, and makes for excellent photos. It's our personal philosophy (and just good design principle in general) that every wedding has at least ONE statement or large floral installation to really anchor the wedding.

We kept the reception tables equally lush and effortless. These centerpieces looked like you just walked through the garden and pulled armloads of pretty blooms. We loved this wedding, and wish Gina and Danny a happy ever after.

Special thanks to Ricky from WPhotography for the photos!

Valentine's Day 2018

This Valentine's Day was marred by a nasty shooting at a high school in Florida. A day meant to celebrate love became instead a day of mourning. The shooter and the details are trivial. Instead, here's a moment to mourn the dead and to remind the living to hold their loved ones a little closer.

Just a few pretties from my Valentine's Day. "Wait and hope."

Raul and Victoria

One of the hardest parts of wedding planning, I think, is making sure an event is cohesive. By that I mean - the whole theme just makes sense. To really ensure that happens, we at Fleur & Co offer full event planning and coordination services, as a standalone or in addition to our floral offerings. So please contact us! We'd be happy to design a custom package just for you. Recently, we had the pleasure of coordinating and designing the florals for the nuptials of San Jose Councilman Raul Peralez and his lovely wife Victoria. Their special day took place in the very same district that the councilman represents - and you can see their love for their home district in every aspect of this wedding.

Raul and Victoria chose a classic green and white palette, and the most classic San Jose locations for their big day. From the iconic Hotel De Anza, to the gorgeous portrait session in the heart of the city, to the ultra hip SP2 for their venue - this wedding truly showcased the best of downtown San Jose.

While the bridal party was off doing their portrait sessions around downtown San Jose, the rest of the staff were working hard to put the finishing touches on the reception space. And what a reception it was! All the little details came together beautifully!

We loved this wedding, this couple and our incredible vendor team. We could not have done it without such a great team. Hope you enjoyed this wedding, and thanks for stopping by!

Friendships and Tahoe

You know that feeling when you meet up with an old friend after a really, really long hiatus, and it's like nothing has changed? You still giggle and blush over the same things. You still squeal with delight. Your eyes still twinkle with mirth. Well, Jessica, my next bride, is exactly that. I met Jess in the 6th grade, and we've been good friends since. We used to pass notes in class and write each other letters on Sanrio stationary over the summer. And to both our horror, I've actually kept most of them! And now we're all grown women, and I'm thrilled that she's found and married the guy of her dreams - just like we always used to talk about when we were girls. I was honored to do her flowers (bouquets, bouts, corsages, signage, cake), so here's a sneak-peek taken by the ever-talented Jasmine Lee.

I always love it when photographers take the time to do the detailed shots - these rings, corsages, and invite look so lovely.

What a bunch of good looking people (and puppy!)! The ceremony and reception took place on the shore of Lake Tahoe at Edgewood, a beautiful venue for a beautiful couple.

This was our first 'travel' event, and though it was a bit precarious transporting so many buckets of flowers up the I-50, it was so worth it and I could not be more honored to have participated in this wedding. Congrats Jess + Johnson! Wishing you a lifetime of happiness and health!
